If you’re paid every 14 days, your checks don't fit neatly into twelve months. See your real pay dates and compare a conservative two-paycheck budget with your average monthly income.

WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

Why a two-paycheck budget can be safer

Typical month

Budget your recurring bills against two take-home paychecks. A two-week payroll cycle creates at least 24 checks across twelve two-check months; actual years often contain 26, occasionally 27.

Annual monthly average

Dividing annual income by 12 spreads the extra paychecks across every month on paper. It does not mean that extra cash is in checking before those dates.

Extra-paycheck dates

Three-paycheck months can be opportunities for savings, debt reduction, or irregular expenses. Plan commitments using the actual deposit dates and your future bills.
